DIALECTICAL BEHAVIORAL THERAPY (DBT)

Learning how to control your emotions by controlling your body

DBT group consists of skills training to help with everyday life, things such as:
*how to regulate intense emotions*how to interact effectively with othersand tolerate distress, in ways that are not harmful to oneself or others
Mindfulness skills involve effective awareness and learning to control attention. Since mindfulness is at the core of all skills, mindfulness skills are taught for two weeks before each module of distress tolerance, emotion regulation and interpersonal effectiveness.

BRAINSPOTTING

The Organic Approach to Trauma

Brainspotting is effective for a wide variety of emotional and somatic conditions. Brainspotting is particularly effective with trauma-based situations, helping to identify and heal underlying trauma that contributes to anxiety, depression and other behavioral conditions. It can also be used with performance and creativity enhancement. Brainspotting gives the therapist access to both brain and body processes. Its goal is to bypass the conscious, neocortical thinking to access the deeper, subcortical emotional and body-based parts of the brain.

Find someone who connects with you on a personal level. Therapy is sometimes scary and overwhelming but finding someone that you are comfortable with makes the process of change so much easier. If you don’t connect and feel comfortable with you are with, change!
We pride ourselves on being non-judgmental and authentic, embracing the rawness that is real life.
